MAGEHOME LARP is a high fantasy Live Action RolePlay system developed and written by Dave Wainwright. The system is built around a core of rulebooks, which allow the Game Referee to build their game world, the way they want, around the rules.

It is a bright, early morning and a party of adventurers come running over the brow of the hill. It becomes apparent that there is good reason for their haste. Orcs and Goblins are chasing them. The party aim to reach the bridge that fords the stream, so that they can hold these vile creatures at bay, rather than being attacked on open ground. At the bottom of the hill the open ground breaks into a lightly wooded area and just beyond is the bridge. It is too late though. The Orcs and Goblins catch up with a straggler from the party and with some deftly delivered blows one of the party falls, injured and possibly dead. The rest of the party forgo their escapes and turn to face this fore guard, of the Orc Shaman they have been hired to defeat. The Wizard lifts his hand, calls out his spell vocals and one of the Orcish number falls dead. The other Orcs and Goblins are a little deterred by this. Two of the Warriors take this opportunity to attack some of the remaining Orcs and in moments there are only a few Goblins and two Orcs left standing. A Healer has been busy working their art, during the distraction of combat, and the hero who had fallen is restored with a mix of potions and magic.

Now the adventurers turn to the rest of the nervous Goblins and Orcs but as they do so the Orc Shaman enters the clearing...

This is not some plot from a movie or book but a glimpse at a LARP (Live Action RolePlaying) game. A game in which you take on the part of an adventurer in a fantasy setting, in a land of Monsters, Treasures, great deeds and greater adventure.
